                                                                      Chapter 7

                                                     Day Off Gone Horribly Wrong

It was no longer then 5 more minutes that the glowing orbs in the sky all vanished into space.

What the f**k is this s**t? You don't know how long you stared at the now clear, bright blue sky, you had never seen this before in your whole life, sure you've seen firecrackers, and fireworks every year on the 4th of July, but this?

I'm going to have strange dreams about this for a while.

" (Name), what is this? " Hunter asked, concerned, you shook your head at him/her.

" I don't really know, Hunter, I had never seen something like this before, I'm wondering about what they could be, too. " Hunter appeared to be troubled, and your answer may not have helped clear the confusion one bit, Hunter sighs while you watched the sky, frustrated, but filled to the brim with confusion as you are unable to figure out the orbs.

" I can't help but get a bad feeling about it though. " You were actually honest about this, Hunter looked worried, the orbs may look and seem pretty beautiful, but there was something off about them, something that made the both of you uneasy, but you had no idea what it could be.

" I am starting to feel very uneasy about this, (Name)... "

However, having just tore the gaze away from the sky and had turned to look at the stairs, and much to your chagrin, Dusknoir is seen having just come up the stairs, as much as you don't even want to be anywhere near him, you knew you had to play along. Not just so you'd know what he is up too, but also so some fun can be achieved as can annoying Dusknoir to death, but if Dusknoir can't be easily annoyed, the least you could do is make it as difficult as possible, for him at least.

" Hello, Dusknoir! " However, he/she's already nervous and you knew the answer why.

" Hello, Dusknoir. How have you been this morning? "

Dusknoir stood quite for a few moments before he answered. " I've been swell. "

" Have you see the sky recently? " Hunter asked nervously, he/she were certain that basically everyone outside in Treasure Town would have seen it.

" Yes I have, Hunter, everyone in Treasure Town had seen the orbs in the sky, nobody knows what those orbs are, and why they were up in the sky, they've been considering this as a sign of a bad omen. " This was to be expected, you and Hunter were both certain that everyone who were outside the Guild and their homes saw this, but is it serious that no-one had seen this kind of thing before and assumed it's a bad omen?

" A bad omen? And you don't know what those orbs are either? " Dusknoir sighed as you asked those two questions, you could tell even he doesn't know the answer to either of them, he's just as stumped as you and Hunter are.

" No, I do not, as much as I know many things around the world, I'm afraid to say that I don't know a thing about those orbs, and the reason why everyone in Treasure Town considers this a bad omen is that they had never seen this kind of thing before. "

So he doesn't know either? That is hardly surprising.
Even though this could be something of a good thing to make note of from within your mind, something about this whole thing is basically too crucial to let go so easily, but it felt best to not dwell on this too much for a reason since there's no answer for whatever is going on at the moment.

" Alright then, we shouldn't dwell on this too much however, if we all think about it too much, we may jump to the wrong conclusions, plus, we may just get nowhere as all we have are what we saw just now, and we know nothing of their origins. " Dusknoir and Hunter looked at you, listening intently, Dusknoir seemed to silently agree with you as he nodded, both of you know that there is something going on that neither of you and Hunter know anything about, and it most likely isn't something good.

" So until we have more time to gather just enough information about this, we won't know what had caused these orbs to appear and then disappear so suddenly, it would probably be a good idea to investigate it when we have the time to do so. " Dusknoir added, thankfully, your partner is able to have an easy time piecing it together, Hunter may not be the smartest Pokemon there is, but he/she is still quite intelligent, and he/she had good moments of being quite clever at times. He/She is quite sweet, but Hunter's very willing to protect you whenever he/she felt like he/she had to, and had pulled off some heroic moments in saving others, yourself included when you're especially in a pinch.

Overall though, Hunter is innocent in his/her own way, shape, and form, there had been a few times where Hunter had pulled off a miracle during missions in Mystery Dungeons, who is to say Hunter wouldn't be able to pull off another miracle in the near future?

" Would you like to come with me? " Dusknoir asked politely, you gave him a false smile, which you were sure that he managed to see through this time, you nodded at him, unaware of what will transpire a few minutes later.

" Sure thing, Dusknoir. " But for the record, you were tempted to call him 'Dusky', but it would be rather awkward as you knew that some people may or may not call you a rather troubled child, especially considering that physically you ARE one.

" Very well, then. "  Hunter silently sighed, he/she knew you were very likely to troll him since you told Hunter about your lack of trust for Dusknoir with sincerity, but deep down, he/she found you to be a funny troll, he/she just hoped that you wouldn't go too far.

Hunter waved as you and Dusknoir started to descend the stairs so that the both of you could discuss on where to go to hang out, but just as the both of you made it halfway down, you could see a Flareon running on all fours, clearly in a rush to get someplace. As soon as she turned towards you and the stairs, she zoomed up the stairs, her eyes wide as you could feel her body practically fly past you before feeling a force suddenly push you down before either you or Dusknoir could react as you painfully fell down the stairs!

What the FU----! You couldn't cry out physically, even as you had reached the bottom of the stairs, you could have sworn you heard and felt a pop from your front left (leg/talon/etc) as pain shot through your leg, then throughout your entire body.

You've always been used to being hurt physically, no matter ho much you didn't like it, you attempted to act as though it didn't hurt as you tried really hard to stand on (number of legs/get-up/etc) as a(n) (starter Pokemon) usually would.

But damn does it hurt like hell! Just my damn luck, today isn't going to be so peaceful after all!
You mentally cursed as you hissed, looking at Dusknoir, he looked genuinely shocked as he quickly rushed over as you lost your balance and started falling again, knowing full well the pain will worsen.

Only, you never met the ground, instead, big arms scoop you up, keeping you from getting any more injuries, when you opened your eyes, you saw you were being held gently by Dusknoir. You felt embarrassed, getting a sprained limb in front of your own enemy and him trying to care for you does not feel right in the slightest, your face flared red due to the embarrassment as you wanted to shrivel up and disappear.

You've been used to taking care of your own injuries, you weren't used to someone else besides Hunter caring for you, let alone help, you buried your face in Dusknoir's arms, your face slightly red as you do not want Dusknoir to see how ashamed you were.

" Are you alright? " Dusknoir asked, his expression full of concern.

" No, I am not, Dusknoir. " You hissed in reply, looking up at the top of the stairs, you see Hunter's panicked look as he/she came down the stairs to the both of you as he/she very quickly noticed how much pain you were in.

Was it NOT even THAT obvious??? Some Great Explorer you are, Dusknoir!

"Are you okay?! " You can tell he/she were worried about you, although he/she were surprised to see you in Dusknoir's arms, Hunter knows this is NOT the time to think about it, you need help right now.

" She's sprained her (leg/talon/etc) very badly. She would best be able to recover in a few days if given enough care. "

If given enough care? Thanks a lot, Dusknoir. Dusknoir clearly didn't expect you to act like this, let alone take any kind of injury like a man when you are just one tough starter Pokemon, it seems as though he expected you to be a little more immature as his eye had widened ever so slightly.

" But we can't stay right here, we need to get you back to the Guild. " What you didn't expect from Dusknoir were that he turned to carry you back upstairs on Hunter's word, oh, great holy Arceus, this is going to be a huge embarrassing moment if anyone were to stumble upon tough little you. Let's say you are going to be extremely grumpy for a while, for a good reason as you KNEW that there ARE some fangirls who would likely jump to the wrong conclusion for sure should they see you like this in his arms.

What had gotten into her? Was she in a rush to the point where she had to get to the Guild but didn't have the time to apologize? You thought to yourself, some would find it to be possible that she was simply in too big a rush to get to the guild, but something tells you that there was more to what just happened then meets the eye.

You knew Hunter and Dusknoir wouldn't believe you, because Hunter had not witnessed it, he/she would likely think Flareon were just in a rush and didn't notice, for Dusknoir, he would either think the same thing, or most likely suspect something was up. You made a mental note that you'll ask Flareon about it the next time you see her, as much as you wanted to talk to Dusknoir and Hunter about her, you knew it wouldn't do any good.

" Alright then. " Sure you agree for once to at least let someone treat your injuries which happens to be in this case, your sprained limb, but still, you and Dusknoir are merely strangers to each other, nothing more, nothing less.

You prayed on the inside to not be seen like this even though it's impossible, you knew you were likely going to be teased more then ever before, and it would not do wonders for your self-worth and self-esteem.

" This has been a disaster... " Hunter felt guilty about what happened today, today was supposed to be a peaceful day off for (Team Name), Dusknoir looked at Hunter and decided to try to reassure Hunter.

" Nobody knew that this would happen. There's no need to blame yourself. "

" Alright... " As much as Hunter wanted to believe him, he/she still felt at fault, you and Dusknoir can tell that hunter is blaming himself/herself for what occurred, despite it not being his/her fault, both you and the Flareon were at fault, the Flareon could have warned you and you could have dodged.

You had stayed in your room for the rest of the day because of your sprained limb, so you were going have to have someone tend to your injury which came with a few 'lovely' bruises, you were obviously not a happy camper. So today and for a few days or a few weeks at most, you are going have to stay in your room because of how bad you got hurt, your injured limb has been covered in bandages, usually, it would take a human about a few months for a broken bone to heal.

But if that's the case then basically you might just be here for a month or even longer, this would get someone bent out of shape for having to stay home for a while, after which, you will have to get back into shape after you heal up. And to make things worse, literally, a few of the female residents of Treasure Town outside the guild teased you much more often then they had before ever since the incident. And when you saw that Flareon were inside the guild, you took a look at her and noticed she seemed to be smiling in triumph, like she had just accomplished something by simply doing what she had done earlier as if the humiliation and the pain weren't enough.

And needless to say, you were more then pissed about it, every single time you would think about it or Flareon in particular, your blood would boil even though you should hear Flareon out as to why she was going so fast in the first place. Sure you had ate for the most part since you stood in this world, fruit, berries, and even Apples, but you knew that no matter what you eat or how much you strengthen, all those could not prevent injury, you would get injured at some point, one way or another despite everything. Most of the guild members had felt sorry for what happened to you, but because you couldn't stand due to having a bandaged, injured (leg/talon/etc) which might break even more if not handled right.

But what had surprised everyone is that you took it too well, which made Dusknoir suspect you had been hurt before plenty of times but he couldn't confirm it yet unless he hears it from you, while Hunter grew worried, he/she knew that Dusknoir has a high chance of learning about your name.

You could already tell that whoever wanted to talk to you in those weird dreams is going to scold you for letting yourself get hurt, in other words, life in particular loves being a b**ch to you no matter where you were at.

Talk about being a f**king kill joy. I would have just stepped aside, but she had to be so fast. You stare at the window, from where you're at, you can see the stars as you gazed upon them from the window, as you thought to yourself, you slowly start to feel torn more then ever before.

Do I really have to go back to the Human World? Just shortly after I had done what I need to do? Do I really want to leave the Pokemon World?

Even though you had been tough through many adventures you had thus far, you knew that everyone other then Hunter would soon come to know of your dark past, if Dusknoir ever even came to know of your suffering as a human being before the present time, who knows how he may react?

Hunter had known of your pain, you told him/her about the majority of your past by now if not the entirety of it, for some reason you are glad he/she hadn't told a single soul about what he/she had known. You found Hunter to be the sweetest best friend you could ever have, who may possibly be your first true best friend in your whole entire life, unlike those fake friends on Earth who hurt you for their own reasons.

Why do I keep getting these strange dreams more then I am getting dizzy spells? Something clicked in your mind as you realized that the Dimensional Scream you had activated quite rarely, if not at all, but not only that, the strange dreams each had a sort of meaning whenever you slept.

Thought after thought rushed through your mind, each carrying a question that you had no answer to, the longer you thought about even the most sensible questions you had, the more tired you became, soon, with the questions still in your mind, you fell into deep slumber.

This was the moment you began to see a weird but surprising vision, or so it would seem.

You saw that you were all alone in a familiar but unexplored dungeon.

You had just recently been familiar with traps, or in this case recalled what kind of traps that could activate at any moment, it was possible that only you and Hunter were exploring. And one of you had just recently stepped on a Warp Trap and were warped somewhere else far from the other in the floor of whatever this dungeon was.

Whatever the case, this is not a good thing in the slightest, from what you could guess, you are most likely in a cave full of crystals, but seeing that you are badly injured in said dungeon tells you that things were not going so well. It was then you squinted, and several feet away from you, was a familiar Pokemon, you couldn't see very well of what the Pokemon looked like other then their shadow as your sight was blurry in this dream.

And yet you growled at the Pokemon, knowing that the Pokemon may not be friendly at all, the shadowy figure approached you, step by step, slowly and cautiously, you stopped growling at them, but kept glaring at them. The figure stopped a single feet away as you began to see the Pokemon more clearly, as you slowly grew accustomed to the cave being dark that were illuminated with the light given off by the crystals on the walls, your (e/c) eyes went wide.

And in the next second, you felt different emotions towards this Pokemon as a painful headache came forth, rendering you unable to think clearly as you found yourself gawking at the Pokemon.

" W-What, who...? " The stranger suddenly looked alarmed by your words as they stared into your very soul, you felt sadness, regret, relief, worry, and at most, happiness towards the stranger, like somehow you knew the stranger, you felt an unconscious but powerful urge to go run over and hug the stranger.

You do not know why, no matter how much you wanted to hug him, you couldn't move, you were stunned, it seemed to have been too much for you to handle at this point as the you in the vision asked the figure...

" Have we met before? " The stranger took a few steps away from you, seemingly surprised, but then you sensed something else from the stranger, you could sense sadness from them, and they seem to recognize you.

Was the stranger once an old friend? Or had you both been more then friends perhaps?

The stranger turned their back to you, preparing to walk away, but as the stranger walked away, you found yourself unable to contain a sudden change of emotion as you ran towards them as fast as you could.

But just as you were going to see what were going to happen, everything went black, you were bewildered at what was seen, and concerned for what this might mean, was this a warning for what is to come in the future somehow? You knew that something was wrong, not only could you see the face of the shadowy figure of the Pokemon, but you couldn't help but find the Pokemon to be highly familiar.

All around you, everything was dark, your heart hadn't stirred since the dream started, a sense of loneliness washed over you as you recalled having dreams of things to come back on Earth, you never knew why that is. You never knew why you had these visions within your dreams to begin with, you wanted to be a normal person, but you knew that it was never meant to be as you glanced around you, wondering what this darkness surrounding you is.

It was then as you had noticed not a single soul from wherever this is, you concluded that you were indeed all alone, you looked down at your (hands/paws/talons), only to see that you were not standing on anything, you were floating. A sinister laughter has been heard, coming from all directions, it rang within your sense of hearing, a sudden presence was felt, an evil presence as you quickly deduced that it was a male who is laughing at the plight you were in.

A different Pokemon had invaded my dream! Could it be the Pokemon masquerading as a female, Psychic-type Pokemon? You thought, you sought out the voice, looking as to where it could be coming from, but there was no luck to be had here, you were at the Pokemon's mercy as your world became their playground.

" Who is over there? Show yourself! " There wasn't an answer right away, a few minutes later, you heard humming coming from right behind you, the humming was soft, slow, and it would have been soothing if it hadn't reminded you that you were trapped in a nightmare.

You twirl around, feeling exceedingly uneasy, more then you usually would feel on the dead of night, you were surprised to see bright glowing eyes staring at you, nothing more, nothing less as the eyes bore into your broken spirit.

When the glowing eyes had disappeared, something had pierce your very being, just through your chest, just like a knife would pierce one's flesh and major organs, the pain was so sudden and immense you were unable to hold back the urge to scream. You could taste blood as the piercing feeling removed itself from you as your mouth was filled with the crimson red, tears slid down your cheeks as you quickly grew weaker and weaker due to the blood-loss as you knew that you were bleeding out.

For the first time in a long time, true fear filled you, something or someone was attacking you from the darkness, and they are doing it without your knowing of where they were at, your hearing dulled, making it harder to find your assailant. You couldn't see anyone, one reason could be your blurry vision or it would be the darkness from all around you, feeling a presence behind you, you tried to turn your head as best as you could manage to see behind you.

That was a bad idea as you saw something sharp, something that blended in with the darkness but carried a dark red color to it, your blood, and now your life was going to end in a nightmare, a nightmare where nobody would remember you.

Just as it pierced you again, you gave off a blood-curdling scream, the pain unbearable as you lost all feeling.

" (Name), wake up! You're having a Nightmare! " A voice suddenly echoed in as you blacked out.
