Chapter 5

                            Three Mischievous Pokemon Brews Trouble, The Time Gear

A few more weeks had passed, everything were going quite peacefully.


You had grown stronger overtime and so had Hunter, everyone was happy for at least a while.


And you hadn't had anymore visions since you and Hunter rescued Azurill, which is an added bonus, of course, you are aware that there will be more visions will come very soon, so it would be best to keep your guard up.


Of course, one couldn't avoid having accurate visions forever. Because all that was going to change, since three Pokemon are going to join the Guild and cause you and your team a TON of trouble.


It was surprising you hadn't even thought about it one bit during the entire time spent here, at least until right now, because what those three new Pokemon have done caused you to be tired and pissed off to the point where you want to strangle someone.


Actually, that's an understatement, they know how to make you furious, they know how to drive you up the freakin wall.


Yes, it is OBVIOUSLY Team Skull.


And you know how bad things got when Skuntank and his two other members like the SAME ZUBAT AND KOFFING from earlier are here, things are going to be horrendous for you, Hunter, and (Team Name) for a while, literally. There's also a terrible memory where you and Hunter were just looking for a mission from the boards when Skuntank, Zubat and Koffing came into the same room. You were quick to move out of the way, narrowing your eyes at them, mostly at Skuntank since he's the ringleader and the one who come up with the plans here and there for his team or so one could believe.


Skuntank stares back at you, then so do Zubat and Koffing, Skuntank smirked at you, it was as though all of them were getting to do something as Hunter stepped away from them. The cogs in your head began to turn as you realized what Skuntank was going to do which can make one's stomach churn quite badly.


Holy f***king SH-- 


The thought got interrupted as a HUGE wave of a horrid smell got all over the room, the smell was so strong you instantly started to feel like sh*t, and it's obviously not a good thing!


Then as the cloud flew off you, it went to everyone else who is in the other side of the room, everyone started gagging because of it, everyone reacted to the horrid smell that overwhelmed the entirety of this room, it wasn't a very good thing.


" EEEEEEEEK! " Sunflora shrieks as she could smell the terrible stench that filled the room, the smell is so bad that you thought everyone, including yourself would pass out, even though anyone hadn't done so yet.


Skuntank laughed as everyone in the room stared at him. Of course, Skuntank, Zubat and Koffing left the room without a word.


And from then on, Team Skull worked to get you and Hunter into a heap of trouble, even after you recovered from being sick for a few days from the Stink Bomb Attack. Team Skull ate some of the Perfect Apples from the Apple Woods, making you as well as your team fail a simple mission to bring a Perfect Apple to Wigglytuff which very nearly invoked his wrath.


This resulted in you and even Hunter to starve for a night right after Skuntank gave Wigglytuff a Perfect Apple, Team Skull did their best to give you their worst, they did their best to try to drag (Team Name) down to hell.


However, Sunflora and the others excluding Chatot, Wigglytuff, and Team Skull saved some of their food and gave the remaining parts of food to you and Hunter. That filled and cheered you both up, although it were better to keep an eye out for more trouble. But you are still pissed off at Team Skull and with a very good reason, and because of what happened between (Team Name) and Team Skull, you were still very salty about everything, at least, you would be for a while.


A few more days, and an expedition event is to be held, the whole Guild had to go over to find quite a place, but since you and Hunter had fallen behind by accident, you both had to go through a few dungeons. Of course you both had to take the correct paths otherwise (Team Name) would end up right where you started which would have been more then just frustrating.


Both of you had reached halfway through the Foggy Forest, as it's the current location, right now you both are taking a small break for few minutes straight since it was very much needed at the time. Since you had just met up with Chatot and the other Guild Members, they are camping out here for a while, you and Hunter decided to do the same for a short time.


Just recently, there had been Oren Berries placed into your inventory bag in case since you planned to go on if you're ready to go on, you looked over at Hunter as your worries were pushed aside for now. Who had just found something as you went over to him/her, what Hunter found was a sparkling jewel, it was a bright ruby and shaped almost like an oval, something about it seemed very familiar.


You were curious about it and stared at the item in Hunter's hands. " What is that? "


" It's some kind of ruby. " Although he/she is curious about it too, he/she is also confused as to why it was over there.


" Maybe we could bring it with us just in case? " Still eyeing on the ruby sphere, Hunter glanced at you before he/she puts it in the inventory bag.


" What is that?! " Hunter blurted out as you started walking towards the statue.


" It's a statue of some kind. It kind of looks like a Pokemon. "


" Huh? " Hunter looked confused. Who could blame Hunter for being confused?


If you remember right, you should get another vision from touching the statue.


You touched the statue gently with a (hand/paw/etc) and waited. It was then the familiar dizzy spell came, within seconds, darkness clouded your sight.



" Good job! " This was probably the voice of an explorer who may have come by here. But something wasn't right about this.


" Put the sphere in the slot... " A different voice spoke up. Put the sphere in the slot...could it be referring to the ruby and the statue?


 " Woah, way to go, partner! " The first voice exclaimed.



And that was the last thing you heard before you were in front of the statue again.


Hunter looked back at you with concern. You motioned Hunter to come over to you with a (hand/paw/etc), gently.


" (Name), are you okay? " You knew what to do as excitement rushed through your body.


" I'm alright, Hunter. But I just had another dizzy spell, and saw another vision. "


" Another vision? " He/She had known you had visions before a few weeks back, while the visions had helped, he/she couldn't help but worry about you. You are a human inhabiting the body of a Pokemon after all, and only the both of you knew it, anyone else who saw you would call you unique for a reason.


It's surprising that no one had become suspicious quite yet. Your (e/c) eyes would have been one of the few giveaways that would have alerted someone to your identity or something.


Usually, there are Pokemon with their usual eye-color, where you, still had the same (e/c) eye-color, which is the only physical trait that you retained, but merely, it could only have been luck, since nobody had yet asked about the eye-color.


" Yes, I hadn't seen much, but I heard the words 'put the sphere in the slot'. " You were still not used to having visions, and every time you get a vision in the Pokemon World, there would be a lingering headache just after a vision would end.


Hunter stared at you, a thoughtful expression implanted on his/her face.


" Maybe it's referring to the ruby sphere and we need to find a slot on the statue and put it in? "


" That is what I was thinking, maybe if we find the slot on the statue and put in the sphere, something is sure to happen. "


Hunter appears to get what you're getting at, as he/she have already began to look through the bag you both have for the ruby, in just a minute, he/she took the ruby sphere from the bag. You and Hunter both start looking back at the statue, it took only seconds to discover an oval, sphere shaped, hole, right where the ruby should go inside.


Maybe this goes here? You side-stepped a bit to show Hunter the hole. He/She walked over to the hole.


" Do you think this sphere goes in there? " He/She received a nod for an answer, even though there is a very small chance it won't fit.


" Well, here goes nothing. " Hunter takes a deep breath in and out, before he/she placed the sphere in the hole, Hunter tried to be careful about it since the sphere might break as it felt like glass to Hunter.


But as soon as Hunter puts the sphere in the sphere-shaped hole, sounds of electricity were heard, you and Hunter both saw statics of electricity around the scenery, only they were glowing red in the fog.


What's happening?! There was a flash of light, and in an instant, the fog had all cleared up. It was as though the fog had never been here to begin with.


Both you and Hunter glanced around. Astonished by the sight as there was no fog anymore, it looked just like as it had within the games of Time, Darkness, and Sky themselves.


You looked behind the statue, and saw a cave. The cave itself looked very familiar...could it be Steam Cave?


" Hunter! There's a cave behind the statue, maybe we could go over through here! " Hunter looked over behind the statue and noticed the tunnel, you could tell that he/she felt uncertain but also quite excited.


" Are you sure we should go through the cave? "


" I'm sure, Hunter! Let's go! "


After a few moments, Hunter finally spoke once more. " Alright then! " He/She smiled as the both of you went inside the cave.


You and Hunter had gone inside cave after cave before, and both of you had grown accustomed to going to some caves, sure it got a bit old for Hunter, but you could likely never grow out of it, you've became adventurous and much less timid then before.


As you both knew, Fire-Type Pokemon would have an advantage over Grass-Type Pokemon and the both of you could get burned, depending on your type, fire attacks could be (not-so-effective/so-so/super-effective). But it is pretty hot in Steam Cave so the temperature might cause a few issues, fatigue is quite a good example being played here, if you have fur, it will not be fun at all. And your items as well as Hunter's own items could get destroyed some way or another, both of you were determined to get to wherever this cave ends at, even if it meant using up some Oran Berries.

After dealing with the 5th floor, a large room came into view, there was a Kangaskhan Statue in the room, with a purple box beside it, this could be a good resting spot for the time being. You don't recognize the purple box beside the statue, maybe it held items that you stored with Kangaskhan before you and Hunter left and willingly got here? You don't know really, but there is a feeling that this could be very helpful and that this purple box could actually be from somewhere, but where?


You walked up to the wall and sat, visibly tired due to all the steam that went into the cave, Hunter walked over to you, equally tired.


" Are you alright? " Hunter is not used to going into a place where it's hot, Steam Cave being the first one so you recalled, the steams and the heat made it difficult to come all the way here, especially if you were a starter that has fur or feathers. And the both of you knew better then to stay in one place for too long, it's best to get going before the heat became too much, after a few minutes, you both decided to open the purple box and put a few Oran Berries and four Reviver Seeds into your inventory bag.


" Are you ready, (Name)?"  He/She looked determined, you were still wondering why a purple box would be here, but it's better to push it aside for now.


" Yes, I am ready, Hunter. " Both of you then rush off deeper into the cave. Both of you completely unaware that you both are to be followed by most of the members of the Guild, the road was a bit harder then before, the whole dungeon felt hotter then before, but you both had come so far now, it was best to keep going.


Several more floors later, you both reached the end as you both went through an exit of some kind, you found that you and Hunter both are on a rocky plain of some sort, looking to your left anyway. It was then that a realization hits, (Team Name) is pretty high up in the sky!


" Wow! " Hunter exclaimed in astonishment, you felt the same way he/she does.


" We are on top of the mountain! " Your eyes sparkle like they would in an anime of some kind.


" Let's look around. " Hunter suggested even though he/she is basically as excited as you are. " We might find something here. "


Or maybe someone who might be living all the way up here! You decided to agree with Hunter, you both went onto the large stone area to the left, glancing around, nothing unusual or out of place here, maybe you both came at the right place at the wrong time or something?


You and Hunter were just looking around when a loud roar made your heart sink.


Sh*t! Why didn't I remember this sooner?!?


ROOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!!


Startled, you and Hunter jumped two feet in the air, you both looked at the direction of the roar itself.


" W-What was that?! " His/Her body trembled as the roar had scared him/her badly, you couldn't answer him/her for a few short lived minutes, you knew exactly where this is going, literally. Because you knew exactly who roars like that, and this is not going to end well judging from the fact both of you could be easily crushed like bugs.


" I think I know what that roar was, it came from over that way. " But it was futile trying to keep calm as you saw a huge red Pokemon stomp towards you and Hunter as you timidly took a step backwards, then another. This Pokemon is a Groudon, judging from the amber eyes, red skin, and the huge size it is! And knowingly, there was no way out of fighting this Pokemon, even though it is a Legendary Pokemon.


" ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRR!!!!! "


The Pokemon roared again, you were sure the whole Guild heard it and may be rushing towards your current location.


You looked towards Hunter, who was still trembling. It is in the script after all that this ' Groudon ' is required to be defeated.


" Hunter, I believe we can beat this one. " Even though you recalled this could merely be an illusion, this 'illusion' can seriously pack a serious punch!


" A-Are you sure?! " Hunter is obviously in a state of panic right now.


" Of course I'm sure! If we beat this Pokemon here, it'll leave us alone. " You weren't going to let yourself be beaten by an illusion.


Hunter looked at you, and then nods, like he/she understood your line of thought. He/She then looked at the Groudon as it attacks Hunter with Metal Claw, Hunter swiftly dodged the attack as Groudon suddenly stepped away a bit from him/her, as though it were cautious, it kept it's gaze on him/her.


It took a few hours to beat Groudon since it was pretty smart. But as it fell to the stone ground, it disappeared, just as you expected it to do, you knew it was an illusion. If you had told Hunter prior to this fight that this fight was an illusion, there would be a big chance he/she wouldn't take it seriously, after all, not all illusions are simply here to scare Pokemon away from something or someone.


Hunter was surprised that the Groudon disappeared but you sigh in relief, Hunter appears to be calming down as well.


" We did it. " Hunter breathed out as he/she looked at you, he/she opened his/her mouth to speak when a sound of hovering was heard.


Now what could that be?? Or rather, WHO could it be? You both looked ahead, having just taken notice of a Pokemon hovering over, albeit the Pokemon having stopped a few feet away, the Pokemon's eyes were closed, this is Uxie...



Back at Wigglytuff's Guild near Treasure Town, everyone slept in their respective rooms and only you lie awake on your bed, you were thinking about earlier in the daytime and Team Skull. You were quick to notice that Team Skull was nowhere to be found anywhere in the Guild when everyone got back to the guild that the Exploration Teams live in.


Were they left behind? What made sure that they wouldn't be seen again? But then again, you somehow knew they'll turn up sooner or later, even though you are actually slightly concerned about them despite the trouble they put you and Hunter through, they have been bullies, almost just like the ones in Earth, and you hated bullies with a passion.


Maybe I shouldn't have reacted to them the way I did. You frowned, sure Team Skull and Team (Team Name) wouldn't get along the whole time they were here, there ARE a number of theories about what could have made Team Skull the way they are after all.


You yawned tiredly as you looked over at Hunter while he/she slept, better to sleep soon then go out in the middle of the night like an idiot.


Maybe they'll turn up. Or maybe they won't turn up at all until much later on. You thought back to what happened earlier, thinking about it, it's very likely that Team Skull tried to attack Wigglytuff just so they could try to find what they want themselves, which meant the obvious thing that happened after the attempted assault.


That could explain why they hadn't returned yet, because Wigglytuff is to be known for his feared power, maybe Wigglytuff beat them to the point where they are afraid of going anywhere near him, you knew it best to not dwell on the matter as you then begin to think about Uxie.


You recalled that when you and the whole Guild were guided someplace by Uxie when Uxie decided to give everyone a chance to see a wonderful sight, seeing a huge pond of sorts, a bright glowing blue object in the center of it all. The whole scenery was beautiful as Uxie had shown you and everyone else when they came in minutes after you and Hunter met Uxie, in all honesty, you couldn't say very much upon seeing the Time Gear.


What Uxie revealed still rang in your mind, the object was a Time Gear your thoughts drifted back to it as it appeared in your mind, you couldn't shake the image away from your mind, let alone banish the feeling of unease and familiarity about it.


Why was my heart racing when I saw it? It's not like a Grovyle weren't going to steal it for some purpose, right?


But how had you known a Grovyle were to steal it? Was what you thought actually something vital that was forgotten? You were simply far too tired to care.


Soon, your eyelids began to close, your whole body relaxing as sleep claimed you, even though you were just falling asleep in preparation of the next day, you were unaware of the dangers you were to be put in.



You found yourself in an area once more in your mind, everything around you was pink. Save for the fact that you're not in your human form.


Your question was answered when you heard the same mysterious voice from before, instead of begging for the need of help. This is a warning of what is to come. You could only hope you weren't going to make too many mistakes as earlier in the day.


" ....Danger...You...in danger... " The voice came as though a whisper, but while the voice was female like before, it had a sinister feel to it.


" What do you mean?? " You wanted to know what is going on, you NEEDED to know what is happening. You had a feeling something bad is going to happen soon.


" ....Prepared....Future...Conflicts... " The voice spoke again, just after you called out as though in a reply. Had the voice meant that you are in danger and you had to prepare for future conflicts?


You began to hear a few voices aside from the one who spoke seconds earlier, one of which were Uxie's voice and another voice that were just like the one that screamed in your first dream here or so you believed. At first, they sound like they're speaking gibberish, but as you listened on, that is when you felt your heart pounding fiercely.


You couldn't believe your sense of hearing of what was going on between the two voices.


" I knew I should have erased their memories when I had the chance. " Uxie's voice lamented, her voice had a tint of anger within.


" I have no idea what you are talking about. " The other voice stated, calmly but something about this was rather unnerving.


Just as you were about to ask what was going on,there was an image of the pond where the Time Gear would be. Only it were gone, as though someone had taken it away from the place that one may call 'home', the background became darker then usual.


" He's....Here.." The mysterious female voice chimed in. Who was here and why?


" Who if you don't mind my asking? " The image faded away, everything around you turned black.


Your head began to burn with a searing pain. Your dream were going to end, the next episode of life were about to start.


There were so many questions you had. And so little answers to be received at this time.



" WAKE UP! " Loudred's familiar voice booms. " IT'S TIME TO GET UP!! "


You woke up, your heart pounding still.


You looked over at Loudred who had just stopped yelling at you and Hunter to get up as Loudred then left the room, you then looked over at Hunter, who just got up as well as you had, only he/she were very dizzy just like the normal times earlier.


" G-Good morning, (Name)... " Hunter groaned as you both got up. Today started off like any normal day you spent in this world, the morning ritual ended in the usual way it had but with a minor difference.


You and Hunter had just heard of a famous explorer having come to Treasure Town, Hunter wanted to meet the famous explorer while you felt a sense of dread about it, something isn't right about this famous explorer. Both of you left to head over to Treasure Town, your feelings of dread grew stronger as you both arrived at Treasure Town to see the famous explorer.


The Pokemon happened to be talking to the Kelceon Brothers, at least until he'd probably heard you both approaching and turned to look, he had two big arms that were muscular, his body's quite round. He had no legs as he had one crimson-like eye with an antenna on the top of his head, his stomach looked like a face in a zigzag like manner.


It was the moment you saw him, you instantly had no trust in this 'explorer', still, you masked such a feeling with a false but convincing smile as he flew over.


And he had to be the one to start the conversation here, even though you would rather just stay away from him in general, it's obvious that there was no way to avoid talking to him on some occasions. Both of you had a good conversation with the explorer, you learned that his name is Dusknoir and that he's come over to stay in Treasure Town for a long while.


Throughout the whole conversation, you disdained him and had no trust for him, even though you believed to have masked it well, you hadn't known that Dusknoir actually saw through your false smile and saw the lack of trust. But now Dusknoir knows only of that you are a Pokemon and that you had (e/c) eyes, but as much he appears to be a friendly sweetheart, you knew better then to fall for his 'charm'.


As you somehow found it unsurprising, every other female Pokemon there is in Treasure Town are already fangirling and squealing over him in a matter of mere seconds, he seemed to know how to win anyone over without even trying, even the very first word makes a single fangirl faint, dramatically.


The reason Dusknoir knows so little of you was that you told Hunter not to tell Dusknoir and not let him know too much about yourself since you knew he were a complete stranger to (Team Name). He could be manipulative so you were taking some good ol' precautions in case Dusknoir might be someone who could prove to be very dangerous to everyone. After your conversation with Dusknoir, you and Hunter both left to do a few missions, Hunter looked worried as you both left Dusknoir to do a few missions together, however, Hunter couldn't ask, he/she wouldn't want to make you anymore uneasy then you already were.


(Team Name) had done 3 missions to count today and now it is night-time, you had trouble trying to sleep, Hunter slept peacefully and yet you weren't, thoughts began to scatter within the mind as your eyelids slowly began to close, causing you to fall into a dreamless sleep.


The next morning, you both woke up like normal, Loudred yelling at you to wake up, morning rituals, and all the normal stuff, only difference is that you saw Sunflora coming over to you, a bright smile present on her face as she looked ready yo squeal.


You stared at her, confused and curious as to why she would be coming straight for you until she told her to tell you whatever message he wanted sent to you as he thought you would rather hear from Sunflora rather then the Gripper Pokemon himself. And much to your annoyance, as Sunflora explained the message he'd want delivered to you, you were quick to learn that Dusknoir had taken an interest in you, mostly due to your lack of trust in the obviously intimidating looking Pokemon, he wants to gain your trust.


Your mind began to race as you recalled that Dusknoir actually doesn't do this in the game itself, but since you had no trust in him, you may have changed the plot somehow and sadly caught Dusknoir's attention which could be very bad as Sunflora squees about how 'lucky' you are to possibly be his first actual friend. You were remembering more things that had to do with the plot, despite the fact that your minor case of amnesia appears to be fading away bit by bit, you still do not recall what had occurred before you became a Pokemon.


However, you weren't going to let Dusknoir win your trust so easily, and you are going to make sure of that you aren't even interested in him.


" Oh my gosh, you're so lucky, (Name)! " Sunflora squealed excitedly, you put on a fake smile and replied with false happiness.


" I guess I am lucky. " You wouldn't want Sunflora to notice the lack of happiness, you were pretty decent with masking your emotions after all.


Although you are sure some of Dusknoir's fangirls are going to be jealous of you, you don't care about that right now, right now, you couldn't help but think Dusknoir may prove to be stubborn and not give up until he gets what he wants.




" I'll go do as the note says, okay, Sunflora? " Still using the false smile, she warmly smiled back before she left you alone, you didn't change the entirety of the plot as there were things that happened just like in the game.


And off you went to the Beach, off to see Dusknoir, the Pokemon you trust the least.
