Dead-Eye Blaze

Yesterday at school I came up with an OC that had no magic, my teacher wanted everyone including me to be creative about making a character for a pirate related story so this character popped into my mind.

Please note that this is only merely the first time drawing her in digital. So this won't be the best in all honesty.

But while she doesn't look too bad or too evil at first glance, I'm going to give you full details.

Full Name: Lena Coal Blaze.

Alias: Dead-Eye Blaze, Dead-Eye Shooter, Cold Blooded, Feared Pirate.

Occupation: Pirate.

Age: 27.

Born 1680. Disappeared 1707.

Specialty: Potion brewing, First Aid, Shooting with many kind of guns, speed and dexterity, intelligence, planning, Potion Usage, blending in, manipulation. (She can't use a Bazooka though, and not even Snipe too often. )

Weaknesses: Close Combat, hand-to-hand, (She's not too bad with this but she's not too good at it either. ) not too good at wielding swords, those who are capable of using Magic. Fire and Lava as she can be very quickly killed using magic, fire and/or lava, as well as those who are faster then she is or those who can predict her movements. Also, she can't run forever, as she will eventually tire out, and when there are enemies/foes she can't hurt with her guns, she will be forced to discard them for the remainder of the fight against those enemies or foes. Also, she is very hesitant on hurting children, because of this, any child soldiers that are heavily experienced with fighting, she will underestimate which might prove to be a fatal error on her part, it is somewhat justified as she's used to being around children who were often helpless to do much on their own.

Backstory: She was from a poor family, as she grew up from her birth, her parents could barely keep the roof over their heads and have food on the table, but still, they were a happy family. At the age of 5, Lena had learned about Pirates from her family and became interested in becoming a Pirate herself, despite what the life of a pirate would be.

But at the age of 12, at where she lived, the volcano erupted, lava came down and destroyed half of Lena's home, but she, her older brother, and her parents survived, but her parents both had gotten burnt by the lava, and due to the severe burn marks Lena's Parents received, they were unable to move their limbs anymore and had to stay in a place where they could recover.

However, despite treatment, Lena and her brother couldn't afford the FULL treatment which would have saved them, so they had 5 years left to live. Still, they spent as much time together with their parents as much as they could.

At the age of 17, Lena and her Brother's Parents had died, before they died, they told them their last words, telling them to do what they felt to have been best, and that they loved them with all their hearts.

Her brother calmed down her grieving younger sister, although he too, was in sorrow, their loss impacted their lives greatly, and started to change Lena's once innocent and sweet personality, to that of a nasty, serious, dangerous personality.

The following next year, Lena and her brother Jake, became Pirates together, both of them, while they were new pirates, Lena's dreams of being a Pirate came true.

It took a while for her to use her guns right when she got them, but she eventually mastered them, and her brother Jake mastered the ways of the sword. Both of them became feared pirates in a span of 1 year, the reason Jake became a pirate alongside Lena, was so he could support his sister any way he can, he didn't want her to be on her own.

Both Lena and Jake Blaze were captain of their own ship, but Jake was the alpha and known as " Deadly Sword Blaze " while Lena became known as "Dead-Eye Blaze".

But it was eventual that Lena had started to take time in Potion Making, as she was born with NO magic, she starts making potions to make up for it.

It was one day that Lena and Jake's ship were attacked, some of the crew-members died in battle, and Jake was captured by the enemy ship who attacked.

Furious, she's sworn to get her brother back and destroy her enemies who kidnapped her older brother.

For 8 long years, she's searched for him, while when needed having gone and took some treasure for her crew-members as well as herself.

During the span of 8 years to her current age, she's fully understood about Potion Making, and had made several potions, but had also at the time, learned how to blend in well with others.

Blending in with others, she bandages her right eye instead of using an eye-patch, and she wears clothing that are best suitable for the place she's going to be in for a time.

But the whole time, she Never knows or finds out that her brother, Jake had died at the hands of her enemy, who killed Jake when he refused to join them and turn against her sister.

It was the one day she got attacked by the pirates who kidnapped her brother, they broke through the defenses somehow, killed all the crew-members of Lena's ship, and were planning to kill her after having cornered Lena in her room and in her normal-like clothing when blending in others at the time.

But she wasn't planning to go down without a fight, she fought but she lost only because that there were too many of her enemies on board.

She used her last resort Potion which was supposed to take her away from her pursuers via going back in time so she could change the fate of her crew, but it backfired badly and instead took her 300 years forward in time, to the present time.

Now in a forest, confused and not knowing where she is at, she seeks to know the truth of what had really happened, she discovered that her family had been long forgotten, she decided to start hiding who she is and perhaps, assume a false identity and make up a story as to why she'd have so many scars all over her body, as she now knows there's not that many pirates left.

She was shocked to discover that she had traveled 3 centuries into the future, but tried to keep herself calm, despite the shock having been obvious.

So in the present she keeps up her facade as a citizen of the present, Her facade features her being seemingly bubbly, kind, generous and even humble.

She will not show her nasty personality until backed into a corner and when she absolutely had to reveal her true self as a cruel pirate.

But on the inside, she's lonely, protective of children as she doesn't want any kid to lose their innocence and cuteness. She's pretty good with children.

While she's killed both Teenagers and Adults, she's never, and NEVER had even thought about killing children. She had a good reason to make sure no children were harmed or killed, because they need a second chance in life, a better chance in life then she had.


She's overall a neutral character, and she's the FIRST character I had made who happens to be a Pirate and that she has No magic. She's between good and bad.

I hope you like her character, I'll consider drawing her scarred eye and how she looks as a normal person very soon!

Facts: 1: She learned how to make potions from a Potion Maker whom she persuaded to teach her, which lasted several days until she got the basics right, that happened soon after she started to blend in with others and after her brother got captured by rival pirates.
2: During this, she made mistakes, one example being that she one time made the wrong potion that went off instantly and covered her in dust, causing her to sneeze constantly until the effect wore off.
3: She learned how to use her guns with the help of her older brother Jake, and the guns she had were presents from Jake, who gave them to her so he could teach her self-defense from afar.
4: While she doesn't know Jake Blaze is dead, she knew he were tortured due to the fact her rivals were brutes, sadists even to the point of killing children.
5: She mastered potion making at her current age of 27, although she still occasionally make mistakes while brewing. Which results in bizarre or silly effects that wears off in a few hours.
